Lob Shot

The Lob Shot

Sometimes a lob is required when playing a shot to a tight and difficult pin position on the green. Lobs are handy too for getting over obstacles between your golf ball such as a bunker or water hazard and the green or pin.

Lob shots are good for up to 50 or 60 yards max and the grip on the club is as usual but the club face is much more open to give the height needed.

Grip and body position are also as usual but be advised that the more the club face is exposed and opened the shorter the distance of the golf shot.

Ball position should be at the front or forward in your stance and your swing should be as your usual golf swing.
