If golf instruction books were like a sand trap they would be HELL BUNKER! This book is a diamond shinning from within it. I recieved this book for Xmas(2000),it is now the 5th of Jan(2001)and I have read it twice already! It is simple and easy on the eye. As you make your way through it you start to question some of the so called fundamentals that you may have picked from other books. Jim Mclean questions the way pros teach us. He gives you the tools to hit the ball straight and long,Golf is not a black art its a sport,a game. After reading the X-factor,I will be purchasing his other books. If like me you have a bookcase full of "Golf Insruction" books do yourself a favour and get this one. Get rid of some of your others at a Carboot sale! Jim Mclean Topman.

My husband and I took up golf a couple of years ago for fun, and to introduce our eight year old son to a sport we could all play together. My son is now plays in tournaments each week. The problem is he never listens to any advice I give him! Obviously I am no Earl Woods but now I have Tiger by my side! My son can read the book, look at the photos and see exactly what he should be doing. The book is easy to read and contains precise instructions. The photos are superb and guide the reader through every step of the swing. Tigers thoughts about the game are inspiring and insightful. I also recommend you read Open Your Mind, Open Your Life: A Little Book of Eastern Wisdom by Taro Gold, which contains many great quotations and inspiring messages based on the Buddhist teachings that Tiger practices.

This is an excellent golf book, with amazing pictures and great tips on how Tiger plays golf (which as he says may or may not be suited for your game). Dont expect a magic solution for your swing, he just explains the basics he uses.It is very easy to read, and I keep it in my living room for re-reading a chapter once in a while. If you like golf, this is an absolute buy. I hope Tiger releases a DVD soon.
